THE SHOW

Too Close for Comfort is an American television sitcom which ran on the ABC network from November 11, 1980-May 5, 1983 and in first-run syndication from April 7, 1984-September 27, 1986. It was modeled after the British series Keep It in the Family, which premiered nine months before Too Close for Comfort debuted in the U.S. Its name was changed to The Ted Knight Show when the show was retooled for what would turn out to be its final season.

I always found it kind of odd that they had a baby at their age. Of course, the mother was probably a bit younger then than Janet Jackson is now having a baby.

The show really lost something when it was retooled in the last season or so. I think they even re-named it "The Ted Knight Show" or something. They moved from San Francisco to another town. I don't even think the daughters were on it anymore.
