He was good at the comedy.

Do you like him better in comedy or drama?

Tom Hanks is an american treasure if you ask me. From the lighter, 80's comedies, to some of the best screen work in the 90's and today, he is just one of the best. A legend. A true movie star.

I loved him in the 80's in Splash, Bachelor Party, and The Burbs. I saw Volunteers, The Man With One Red Shoe, and The Money Pit, but they weren't the greatest of films. Of course, Big is probably his crowning 80's achievement. I don't remember much of Bosom Buddies, but remember him very well as alcoholic Uncle Ned on Family Ties.

He just seems to be a normal, good natured, nice family man with a strong knowing of what he wants to do with his career and the kinds of movies he wants to make.

I agree I dont think anyone else could play a adult acting like a kid like he does. (ok well maybe Robin Williams can as well) but besides those two. I think he did great.
