Three's Company - Come and Knock on our Door, We've Been Waiting for You!

Three's Company Appreciation Thread

Synopsis
A man shares an apartment with two women and pretends to be gay so the landlord won't kick him out in this popular bedroom farce. Loaded with pratfalls and double entendres, and unapologetically silly, the sitcom was based on the British show `Man About the House.' There were several cast changes, but it was the charm of---and the chemistry among---the three original leads that turned this into a huge success. The roommates' landlords, 'The Ropers,' left for their own show in 1979.

Main Cast
John Ritter
Joyce DeWitt
Suzanne Somers
Norman Fell
Audra Lindley
Don Knotts
Richard Kline
Priscilla Barnes
Jenilee Harrison
Anne Wedgewort

I know it started in the 70s, but it did go into the 80s.

Loved this show and it's where I became a John Ritter fan.

I think it's fine if it started in the 70s. I say it still counts if it went into the 80s!. Lol.

I loved this show and I LOVED John Ritter. He was a brilliant physical comedian and, from what I have always heard, a very, very nice guy. I still can't believe he is no longer with us. Anyways, loved this show. Watched it all the time as a kid and I catch the reruns whenever it's on TV Land.

Oh!. I saw Larry!. Richard Kline, that is. On our last trip to L.A., we were eating at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Beverly Center, and who was in the booth ahead of us?. Yep!. When he got up to leave, I blurted out "LARRY!" without even thinking. He looked right at me and I was embarrased. Lol.

John was so great! He was so funny and not the annoying funny. His acting was very natural.

Hehe, Larry thought he was the man.

That is a funny story. Did he say anything to you?

No, he didn't say anything, but he looked right at me like "Is this crazy kid talking to me?". Lol. I gave a sheepish smile and looked away. Lol.

John was just wonderful. His passing really hit me hard, and it still hurts. He was so amazingly talented and funny. His interviews were always hilarious. He was a great actor. So sorely missed.

Aww. I'm sure it wasn't the first time he was called Larry.

Yes, it's really sad. Whatever happened with the lawsuit? Did the family settle?

People probably know his character's name better than his real one!. Lol.

You know, I am not real sure about the lawsuit. Have to look into that.

Yeah, celebrities should be used to that.

It wouldn't surprise me if they settled or something. A lot of cases end up like that.

Oh, I was hooked on the reruns since they they used to air them excessively on N@N. The Chrissy/Cindy years were the best!

I don't really remember it on Nick At Nite. I just know it had been on TV Land a lot in the not too distant past. I think it's on now very, very early in the morning.

I used to watch the reruns when I was little. I don't remember them on Nick either.

I do too. It's funny, because I was just thinking of him this morning. I still can't believe he is gone.

Been watching this a lot lately. This show is proof that you can write interesting episodes even if they aren't about 'a lot'. Like, in one, a flower shop guy that Janet knows dies and inexplicably includes her in his will, leaving her a vase. They all assume it's priceless, accidentally give it away, get it back, and realize it was worth about 20 bucks.

Who was Larry?
