ABC's popular comedy block of family oriented/kid friendly programming first launched in 1988 (although without the name). The first year consisted of "Perfect Strangers", "Full House", "Mr. Belvedere" and "Just The Ten Of Us". It was then branded TGIF the following season in 1989. The line-up that year was "Full House", "Family Matters", "Perfect Strangers" and "Just The Ten Of Us".

The block continued it's popularity into the 90s and left the airwaves after 12 years in 2000.

It's amazing what things stick in your memory and what doesn't.

I am still going to recreate TGIF on Friday with the box sets I have.
