Not really. Stevie Wonder and RHCP both have funk songs and RHCP covered a few SW songs.

well a lot of their funk music was in the 80s before they were too popular. they were prominently featured in the movie, Say Anything, on its soundtrack during the movie and I believe credits. One of their bigger hits, and earlier hits, is Higher Ground which is a Stevie Wonder cover.

I love Steve Wonder's music. Although I prefer his music in the 70s, he made some great songs in the 80s. Here are some of my favorite songs from him for this decade:

Also, I loved him featured on Gary Byrd and GB Experience "The Crown" track - it came around 1983 and all I can say that it was a monster rap song
