According to Spielberg himself, his three biggest failures were "1941", "Empire of the Sun" and, believe it or not, "The Color Purple".

wow, i know he's been critical on Hook, which makes me mad, but those movies...Color Purple and Empire of the Sun were amazing!

I started watching the HBO documentary on Steven. Excellent so far. I love the old pictures and home movies that I haven't seen before. I can't wait to watch the rest.
