Starman (1984) - "You're not from around here, are you?"
 From director John Carpenter ("Halloween", "The Fog", "The Thing", "Christine") comes this 1984 science fiction romance film. An alien (Jeff Bridges) travels to Earth where he takes the form of a young widow's (Karen Allen) husband. He asks her to drive him from Wisconsin to Arizona as the government tries to stop them.  Updated Trailer:  The movie spawned a short lived TV series that ran from 1986 to 1987.   __________________

It spawned a TV series too. Robert Hays ("Airplane") took over the role from Jeff Bridges. It took place 15 years after the events of the first film where the alien meets and guides his now 15 year old son while they try to avoid a government agent. It lasted one year in the 1986-87 season -
