The creator of the show tweeted yesterday that he had a meeting (in Nakatomi Plaza, no less) about Sledge Hammer. No other details other than that. I wonder if it's coming back or getting the remake treatment?

It sounds like Sledge is on his way back. The creator of the show posted this on Twitter a few days ago -

The creator originally wrote the script for the pilot episode in 1976 as a parody of "Dirty Harry". Not only did every network reject it, but executives even questioned his mental health because of the exaggerated violence. It wasn't until the success of the third DH sequel in 1983 that the networks began to show an interest in his script and the show was on in 1986.
