I watched this yesterday for the first time in ages. So much fun! Danny is nasty hilarious and Bette is brash. She doesn't even have to say anything. Some of the looks on her face is enough to make you laugh. Plus, the house. Danny's house. My god. It is an 80's house if ever there was one. Here are some pics -

The whole house is just incredible. I want to live in it. Lol. They also have really fun animated opening credits. There were a number of movies back then that had fun animated opening credits.

The principal from "Head of the Class" is in this. He is the chief of police who gets mixed up in all the craziness. They got him on tape having an affair in a car. They think it was Danny DeVito murdering his wife because the woman was screaming (in joy). Lol.

It is crazy. Even crazier are the outfits Bette Midler wears in this movie!

This is such an 80's movie. From the colorful/animated opening credits, DeVito's house and Midler's outfits. A fun 80s time capsule.

Judge Reinhold and Helen Slater are two of the nicest, non threatening kidnappers I think ever seen in a film. Lol.

They even wore Donald Duck masks. Bette responded by saying "I've been kidnapped by Huey and Dewey!"
