| Prom Song I'm sorry for posting a new thread but I looked and couldn't find a music thread anywhere. Please feel free to close this and guide me in the right direction if there is one I am a huge huge 80's buff. My mom got me started and well it took off from there. I didn't live during the 80's (born in 88) but i sure do know a lot more than most of the people my age. Anyway my point... I was wondering what your prom songs where. This is because I am on prom committee and I was so excited to hear the seniors want a older song for the "theme song" (since the songs today all suck) I was thinking of a few and could use more input and other songs choices so far... (all suggested by me of course) Follow you Follow me Almost Paradise Endless Love __________________ Danielle <3 GG and OC are freakin' awesome!! | We didn't have proms at school in England the 80's. we did have horrific school discos though (you can't imagine). if we had had a prom though the theme would have course be 'lady in red' by chris de burgh ![]() __________________ my livejournal If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter. | |||

| Have you decided on songs yet? Does anyone have any more suggestions? What about "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds? The lyrics might fit, and since it is from a classical high school/John Hughes movie it might work. __________________ Hey God, these days I believe I'll sleep when I'm dead. It's my life! | |||

| I didn't really live thru the 80's either (I was born in 86) but you you gotta have a prom w/Forever Young by Alphaville. Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper) and I Melt with You (Modern English) would be great makeout songs. For those of you who went to high school in the 80's, what were your most memorable prom songs? What were the songs everyone danced/sang along to? | |||
