I love this movie!!! My best friend Amy taped it our junior year of hs and we watched it a lot.

I think you can watch on youtube. I wish I can watch it with you Jen. Cause that would be a lot of fun!

I have to get the DVD soon.

One day we will get to have a horror movie night together! I bought the movie a few days ago, it is a classic! I like the scene in the beginning when they are like "Kill Kill Kill". Poor little girl.

I totally agree. We will have so much fun! I know that part is so heartbreaking. I feel so bad for the family.

You know, I just love the older, cheesier, 80's slasher films. Prom Night is one of the better ones. Incredibly dated, but that's never a bad thing to me. Some people act like it's the plague, or bad, if a movie is firmly set in it's time and place. To me, that's one of the great things about it. The 80's horror films just had a certain tone that was classic and made them more appealing.

Prom Night was a fun one. I loved the chase thru the school with that one girl. That was a really good moment. Seeing Leslie Nielsen disco dance?. Not so much. Lol.

Prom night was pretty fun, the beginning was sad and the ending was sad as well. Have you seen the remake of Prom Night?

I haven't seen the remake. Probably wait for to come on TV. I haven't heard anything good about it.

Terror Train has gotten a remake too. It's just called "Train". Pretty much it's own thing, and nothing to really do with the original. That's what I heard.

Have you seen the Prom Night remake?

I havent seen it either, and will probably wait until it comes out on DVD which I think is soon.

Sometimes they just need to keep the originals to themselves and not remake it.

I agree about re-makes. Well, I am not as against them as a lot of other people are. Sometimes I find it interesting to see an update or a new take on something. Remaking something that was already great is sometimes better than making another awful sequel in some cases.

As for Prom Night, I thought it would have great potential to be re-made as a modern day slasher. I think there is a lot of fun to be had with it, but it appears they went for a very safe approach and it isn't anything like what it should of been. Too bad.

I haven't seen the old one. I saw the re-make, wasn't very impressed. I would love to see the original though!

Rainstorm - I liked the '90 re-make of NOTLD too!. Thought it was pretty good. I liked the re-make of Texas Chainsaw Massacre too.

unfaithful - You should see the original. It's a fun, old fashioned, 1980 slasher film. Lol.

I still haven't rewatched this one. The beginning was really boring, so it was hard to get into.

I liked the beginning and how it kind of set up everything. The characters and setting. A number of slasher movies from the time did that. I kinda hate it when it just starts with a bang and there's no set up, you know?.
