The best. I really don't need to get anything else past the second one. Part III was not the best and the remake, while having some good scenes, was mostly "vanilla" if you know what I mean.

Did anyone do a count on how many times “Carol Ann!” Is called out in Poltergeist 3? that’s the problem with that movie, all of a sudden it becomes all you can hear!

To be honest, I don't even remember that. I didn't watch Part III all that much and it has been aa long time since I have seen it.

I found a vintage BTS piece on the movie. You see Steven Spielberg on set really talking about how things should look in the scene and this and that. Director Tobe Hooper was shown just standing there. He didn't say much.

Well, Spielberg produced the movie and even had a go of the script. There has always been rumors over who exactly directed. A lot of people say Steven stepped in to direct a lot of the movie himself. I just thought the BTS video was interesting because it showed Steven giving direction on how things should look here and there and the director was shown standing there not saying much. Makes you wonder.

Drew Barrymore auditioned for the role of Carol Anne, but Steven Spielberg wanted someone more "angelic". However, it was Drew's audition for this that landed her the part in "E.T."
