| Police Squad(1982) - "You Have The Right To Remain Laughing!" ![]() "Police Squad" premiered in 1982, and was canceled by ABC after 6 episodes, resulting in a huge cult following. Created by The Zucker Brothers, who previously gave us the "Airplane" films, the series was spun off into "The Naked Gun" movies, beginning in 1988, and was followed by two sequels in the 90s. The series starred Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin, in a spoof that took on the hardboiled cop/crime shows of the 1970s. ![]() Here is the intro to the show : YouTube - Police Squad Intro One of the show's funniest gags were the endings, where they would always fake a freeze frame. | Yeah. They were really funny. If you know "The Naked Gun" or "Airplane", it's that kind of humor. A lot of people said it was ahead of it's time and people weren't ready for it on TV every week. Lol. | |||

| Yeah. One of those great, short lived cult shows. Hysterical. | |||
