The 80s - "Perfect Strangers" (1986) "Of course I do, don't be ridiculous!"

Didn't see a thread for this in the thread guide so I thought I would make one. If I'm wrong, feel free to close it mods

Synopsis: Balki Bartokomous (Bronson Pinchot), a sheepherder from the small Mediterranean Greek-like island of Mypos, travels to the United States in search of his relatives. He finds his cousin, Larry Appleton (Mark Lynn Baker) - who has recently 'escaped' from his large-sized family and is reveling in the unaccustomed luxury of having his own room to himself. They end up sharing accommodation in Larry's apartment - even though the two cousins could not be more dissimilar. For, while Larry is panicky, hyperventilative, business-like and mercenary - Balki is placid, unharried, sunny-natured and idealistic.

I loved this show. Who else does?

I love this show. It premiered before I was born and I was 1-4 when it was on when I was born so I had no idea what it was, but a few years ago I caught the re-run's on NickatNite and loved it since I love everything 80's. I especially love the theme song and opening credits especially the second version for some reason. I really want to get the show on dvd so I can watch more of it.

I use to watch this show on a ritual basis. I loved this show. My mom use to think that I was crazy when I used to watch it on TGIF every week. It was one of my favorite indulgences along with Full House and some of the other family shows.

Great show. I love the "Dance of Joy". I also loved the episode where Balki groveled to Larry and then Larry had to grovel back to Balki "I am dirt...I am the sweat of a pig."
