Probably the only book in Freshman English that I enjoyed. I liked the book, but loved the movie.

And I loved Sodapop, closely followed by Ponyboy.

I'm in love with The Outsiders. I always say things like "Stay gold, Ponyboy" and "Don't die on me, Johnny." Ooh, and I always say "I dig okay, Ponyboy" or just "I dig". I'm way too obsessed.

The quote that made me LMAO.

Two Bit: Now there's a hood, he's so greasy, he glides when he walks. He goes to the barber shop for an oilchange not a haircut.

OK who DIDN'T cry at the scene in the hospital, just after the fire, where Pony Boy is still all dirty and his two big brothers, who haven't seen him since he ran away, are crying and hugging him
And ITA about Soda Pop being a hottie - this is also probably the only film where Tom Cruise looks ugly and Leif Garret looks tough.

I never read the book, but I did enjoy the movie. Perhaps I *should* read the book just to compare. And it'd give me a reason to see the movie again, it's been several years since I last saw it.

Lots of nice yummy actors in it.

Hmnn, good sum up of the movie there

I for one think the Movie rocks, I mean I was so jealous of Diane Lane, I mean look at teh cast of guys she got to work with. Rob Lowe (Thud) I would have died.

I had to read the book in year 7 and we watched the movie too. The video was old and bad quality though so I never enjoyed it. The book was good though. With the cast on the cover Love Matt Dillon
