Me either. It's so distracting.

I wonder what the chances are of Antenna TV showing this? It seems they are showing or will be showing some long forgotten shows.

The theme song used in the opening credits of Out of This World was a new adaptation of the Academy Award winning song “Swinging on a Star.”

Yep. I always liked that song too. "Would you like to swing on a star/Carry moonbeams home in a jar...."

Burt Reynolds, who provided the voice for Evie's dad Troy, asked for his name not to be included in the credits. He simply did it as a favor to the producers.

Didn't know that, that's pretty cool. I used to love this show and wished that's I'd have Evie's powers.

This was a show that didn't get a series finale. Instead, it ended on a cliffhanger. It was Evie's 18th birthday, and her alien dad Troy beams in (although he was seen as a lighted outline). Her mom is accidentally beamed to Troy's planet when she steps into the machine to turn it off and Troy is stuck on earth.

How terrible! I hate when there's no ending.
