The 80s - One Magic Christmas(1985)

Mary Steenburgen stars as a harried housewife and mother. It's the holiday season, and things are not so great for her family, home-wise and financially. Her daughter meets up with an angel looking over the family named Gideon(Harry Dean Stanton, "Pretty In Pink", "Alien", "Christine"), and soon Ginny(Steenburgen) has her life altered, like It's A Wonderful Life.

It's not a classic to me, but I remember it well and for the time it came out in. For a Disney holiday film, there are some bleak things in here. Lol. But it also has that great 80s Christmas feel as well.

Saw this on the Hallmark channel the other day. Interesting film. A little depressing, but interesting. Lol.

Like I've said before, it's not great. Kind of depressing even. I don't know. There's just something about it I like. Maybe it's just the nostalgia of seeing it.
