unlike a lot of artists, he quietly faded into the artistic background when he had nothing to say, as a result, 80s enthusiasts would only remember him for this song. and mostly through gwen stefani covering it

for fans of the band, they would say the band got progressively quieter and more sparse with each release, the band's last 3 albums were not very commercial. the main songwriter and singer only released 1 solo album after the band called it quits, despite the fact the band was pretty much a solo artist using a band name to sell the music. He was in total control of the musical direction

This could be interesting. Now, I love the 90's movie "The Sandlot", and it has just been revealed that the original film's director/writer just sold a TV series based on the movie. It will star the original cast and be set 22 years later in 1984! "The Sandlot" in the 80's!
