Got the DVD and watched it last night. I love this movie more and more every time I see it. It's so fun and colorful. It's definitely an 80s movie. I can't be anything else but an 80s movie. One of the special effects guys even says that in the special features.

They just don't make them like this anymore.

It's a blast from start to finish. It starts in the 50s in black and white and then turns to present day. This movie threw in everything but the kitchen sink. Lol.

I'd say this is less sci-fi and more fantasy and slapstick horror. It's a fun one

In one bathroom scene, you can see "Monster Squad forever" scribbled on the wall. A year later, "The Monster Squad" came out. Same writer/director.
