SitcomsOnline have posted about a new series being picked up by TBS. The network has picked up 8 episodes of a new hour long comedy called "Glory Daze", about a bunch of young people navigating college life in 1980s Wisconsin. Set to debut in late 2010.

Yeah, it could go either way. Hopefully it will be Freaks And Geeks in college!. Lol.

Nope. But like F&G, I hope they do the era realistically and lovingly, and not be some kind of spoof or something, you know?.

Right because that would be awful!

I also hope they don't smack us with 80s references and mention the 80s every 5 minutes. I remember a show that did that, and I couldn't stand it.

I hope they don't do that either. I mean, some 80s stuff will be referenced or the lingo or whatever, but do it normally. Not smack it over the head telling people that "Hey!, we're in the 80s!".

Yeah, because that gets old after a while. I also hope that they get references right. I hate it when they don't.

Is this show still on? I rarely watch TBS these days so I haven't caught it. I remember seeing previews for it last year though.

It's been cancelled. I was never able to catch it either.
