Kim wore these claw-like finger nails at some points in the movie. The director said that the worst phone call they could of got was that a nail broke on the way to the set.

Well, it was 80's Kim Basinger. Lol.

Shelley Long was originally cast in the role of 'Celeste', the role that eventually went to Kim Basinger. It was a good call. I don't know if the script was the same when Shelley was first brought in, but the role was quite sexy in parts and people were taken with her. I just don't see Shelley being right in the role.
