The 80s - My Science Project(1985) - We Won't Destroy The World

"My Science Project" stars John Stockwell("Christine") as Michael, a car fanatic who needs something to turn into his teacher for science. He goes out one night with a nerdy girl into a military junkyard. He discovers a strange glowing artifact that, unbeknownst to him, was the engine to a crashed UFO decades earlier. Fisher Stevens("Short Circuit") co-stars as Michael's friend, and the three of them have to stop the contraption when it begins to alter time and pull things in and out of different eras. Dennis Hopper co-stars as Bob, the science teacher. The cast also includes Richard Masur("License To Drive").

It was a cute movie. In the end, the heroes have to go thru the school which is crawling with people from different eras. Mutants from the future, dinosaurs, and a bunch of others. It was pretty cool.

Dennis Hopper is pretty much playing to type. A mild mannered science teacher who becomes a 60s hippie/rebel. Lol.

I don't think too many people have. This was the first time I had seen it. Not overly great, but deserves a little more recognition.
