interesting to point out how much of an impasse he had before the end anyway, 1 album in his last decade (or longer than that)?

Well, he was a perfectionist. He took his time. Only two albums in the 80's. two albums in the 90's. I know he was working on new stuff not long before he passed. Plus, you know, there was a lot of stuff going on with him that probably took time.

Yeah, MJ didn't release quick albums on purpose. And then each one in the 70's, 80's and 90's were huge cause he was so meticulous about the product he put out.

And when asked why for long periods of time, he wouldn't give interviews or be seen in the public eye, he just said, he didn't feel like he had anything to say.

And before he died and had all that stuff going on, I think he had it with the public and went into seclusion again.

Exactly. I did read that even if he wasn't putting out a lot of studio albums, he was always doing music. He said not a day went by that he either wasn't writing, thinking about, listening to music or just sitting and playing at the piano.

Sometimes I'm in awe of how a person like him was born with music in him.

from a young age, he was even dancing to the rhythm of the washing machine with a bottle hanging from his mouth, from what his mother recalled

He was part of the Jacksons, the Jackson 5- so he was working from the day he was born pretty much.
