It's definitely not like the original. There is no replacement for Tom Selleck's Magnum. But I think it's a better show so far than how MacGyver started up. I take McGyver as it is, fluff. But I find this one is little more quality fluff...
In fact the new version of Higgins as a woman is the best thing about the show. The actress is wonderful and more dynamic than Thomas Magnum himself. You know the show is going for the "Will they/Won't they" if the show makes it. I do like on this version, Higgins is a little more respectful of Magnum than the original Higgins was... But still nothing replaces the original. I so far prefer the original Rick and TC. __________________
