Little Shop of horrors- "Feed me, Seymour!"

Hi there!

This is one of my favorite 80's movies ever! It has comedy and drama in it. Audrey II was a freaky looking plant, it use to scare me a bit when I was younger now It doesnt anymore. It looks more funny then anything. I loved the relationship between Seymour and Audrey. Plus it was funny seeing young Steve Martin though he was a jackass. The songs they played in the movie were awesome. I loved the " Downtown" and " Suddenly Seymour" song alot.

Anyone else a big fan of this movie?

I should get this on dvd...

everytime it is on hbo or whatever, I wish that I had it.

I like the style of it...It's really cartoonish.

I love the Steve Martin parts...

Bill Murray is a riot!

I actually forgot that this movie was from the 80s...I kept thinking that it came out in the early 90s..

It really was funny.

Christopher Guest was funny as the first customer to comment on Audrey II.

Claudia- yeah he was funny. It was made in 1986

Groovy- hey! Im glad you like this movie as well. We seem to have alot of stuff in common. My old High school is doing a play on it this fall. I cant wait to see it. Last year they did Dracula and Titanic. It was pretty decent. Im excited to know how this one is going to turn out.

Orin : [holding a dentist's tool] Let me ask you something! Does this scare you? Would you like if I took this and headed right for your damn incisors?
Seymour : [looks terrified]
Orin : It'd hurt, right?
Seymour : Uh huh.
Orin : You'd scream, right?
Seymour : Uh huh.
Orin : Well get your ass in here!

Woot!!! I love this movie!!! We own it on dvd, and my sister has the soundtrack. Oohhh, I want to go borrow it from her now.

My favorite songs are Supper Time and Dentist. Man, I love Steve Martin and Rick Moranis in this. And Bill Murray was great.

Did any of you know that the ending isn't the original one? The original ending had Audrey II taking over the world, or something like that. But people didn't like it too much, so they changed it.

CC- Oh wow, I didnt know that. Im glad they went with the ending they had in the original, though it would of been interesting to see Audrey II taking over the world.

Yeah, on the dvd there is a "making of" or something like that, and they talk about it. They show a clip of a humongous Audrey II taking rampaging through a city like Godzilla, it was hilarious.

From IMDB: The original ending featured extensive model shots of Audrey 2 wreaking havoc on the city to the song "Don't Feed the Plants". The ending was reshot after bad preview audience reaction.
