I really loved that drive-in fast food place they went to in the movie. It was so cool. In 2007, it was nearly completely destroyed but rebuilt in exacting detail and reopened in 2009.

I don't think enough has been asked about the ending when the grandfather reveals he destroyed Mr. Anderson's car. I mean, what adventures did Grandpa have?
