It only did $5.8 million in 1982. I am sure the budget was small, but that still wasn't a lot. It got lost in the shuffle since teen flicks were popular then and that was also the year of "Fast Times" and "Porky's".

It is. Not that we didn't have perfect looking kids and teens too, but a lot of teen movies in the last several years are just impossibly attractive.
