The Land Before Time (1988)

Littlefoot: Do you smell something?
Petrie: [Ducky's on his head] I... I smell... I smell... I smell... hmm... Ducky.
Ducky: You smell me? Ha ha!

Littlefoot: Have you ever seen the Great Valley?
Littlefoot's Mother: No.
Littlefoot: Well, how do you know it's really there?
Littlefoot's Mother: Some things you see with your eyes, others you see with your heart.
Littlefoot: I don't understand, Mother.
Littlefoot's Mother: You will, my son. You will.

Ducky: The tree is talking!
Littlefoot: No it isn't.
Ducky: You should not eat talking trees. Nope, nope nope.

Cera: See? I can take care of myself all by myself. I'm not afraid to be alone, I know my way to go, and I'm not afraid of Sharp Tooth... I hope he doesn't eat any of you!

I love this movie, anyone else?

The first "Land Before Time" was great. One of Don Bluth's finer films. It dealt with friendship, prejudice, death, and working together despite your differences.

I still say that the scene where Littlefoot's mother dies (and Littlefoot's reaction to her death) is truly one of the most heartbreaking/emotional scenes outta all of Bluth's films.

Oh gosh that scene! And he curls up next to her and cries! So sad! I remember crying when I was a kid.

I love that movie so much! It's really cute and it never gets old. My fave characters are Ducky und Petrie. I loved it when Petrie was calling Littlefoot flat-head all the time.
