Looking for specific episode
I don't remember what the original disagreement was, the characters don't either very soon. But there were few episodes that included Louis. I thought that might be a tip off.

I may have found the episode title
The actor who played Louis was Michael Countryman. I found a list of his credits including an episode of Kate and Allie in season 4 titled Upstair, Downstairs. I think this may be the one.
Does anyone know what I could view this online ? |

I know what you mean. I remember how easily I'd be singing the song to myself as a kid. Probably the rhyming helped.
Many people have speculated that the female leads were supposed to, covertly, be lesbians. But I happened to watch an episode on YT where they had to pretend to be a couple to keep their low rent and living arrangement. Ultimately, they come clean and tell the truth. Kind of put a pin in the theory above. __________________

I forgot all the plotlines towards the end (actually, all the plotlines, lol). It always seemed to me that Jane Curtain's character was hesitant/fearful of getting back in the dating scene. I seem to recall the other woman dating a lot more.
