Night Of The Creeps(1986) - "Thrill Me!"
Night Of The Creeps was a 1986 horror film with sci-fi overtones that quickly became a cult classic.
It was directed by Fred Dekker("The Monster Squad") and starred Eric Lively("European Vacation") and Tom Atkins("The Fog", "Halloween 3", "Lethal Weapon" and "My Bloody Valentine 3D"). It told the story of these slug-like creatures that crash land on earth from outer space and infect people, who become crazy zombies!. The movie has a retro feel like the old thrillers from the 50's, as a few minutes at the beginning dealing with an ax murder is filmed in black and white. The movie is FINALLY coming to DVD this fall in a special edition disc. My favorite line in the movie is at the top of the poster.... You know, I never considered myself a zombie expert or a big fan, but I thought about how much I loved this movie and Return Of The Living Dead and all that and I was like, "Hey, I guess I am a fan!". Lol.

The 80's were gold when it came to horror. The last great decade of horror. There have been some good, fun ones in the 90's and 00's, but the 80's was when it hit it's peak and had most of my favorites. The 70's too were great for horror.

Horror was kind of dead in the 90's until "Scream" came out in 1996, and that started a tidal wave of horror and imitations. Some I liked, some I didn't. The first half of 90's was barren of good horror/slasher films. I mean, you had something like The Silence Of The Lambs, but not much else.
The 80's had legendary stuff like "Friday The 13th" and "A Nightmare On Elm Street" and their sequels. Halloween sequels, The Fog, Fright Night, The Lost Boys, The Evil Dead, Poltergeist, Prom Night, Terror Train, The Stepfather, Return Of The Living Dead, and a whole bunch more. Even the obvious, typical, cheesey ones were a blast. |

I still love how fun and cheese-tastic this one is.

I enjoyed this movie when I first saw it as a teen and got the DVD when it came out last year.

I still need to get the new DVD. It was one of those great 80s renters for me and my friends.
