Thread #13 for megastar, Harrison Ford! One of the most successful box office idols of all time. He came to prominence in the 70s with a small role in "American Graffiti" which led to "Star Wars". His 80s films include "The Empire Strikes Back", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Blade Runner", "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", "Return of the Jedi", "Witness", "Working Girl", "The Mosquito Coast", "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Presumed Innocent".

Just part of what makes him cool.

Works for him

in terms of where his career plateaued, the critics often said, it was when he played the role for tom clancy's jack ryan in patriot games and clear and present danger, that was where his stocks declined as being a bankable movie star. there was a brief recovery for air force one but he has been phoning it in since with his roles (Indiana Jones 4, star wars the force awakens).

but just looking at that period for patriot games and clear and present danger, the films to follow in that period were: sabrina, what lies beneath, six days seven nights, a definite decline

There was also "the Fugitive". Some of his movies since haven't been great, but I wouldn't say he was phoning it in for either Indy 4 or The Force Awakens. Indy 4 was disappointing, but he wasn't. I also thought he was great in TFA with the same swagger and everything.

I am going to buy some of his movies soon.

He was. He presented Best Director.

Melis 01-10-2019 05:27 PM

It bet it was good to see him.

i always just assume Ford is drunk lately but i'm starting to think hes' just slow and old. When he was talking at the Globes it's like, "alright grandpa, talk faster". It was bad.
