Thread #8 for the franchise that began in 1978. Michael Myers and his particular brand of trick or treating in Haddonfield had 4 entries in the glorious 80's. "Halloween II" in 1981. The Myers-less "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" in 1982. "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers" in 1988. "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers" in 1989.

I love it too.

Work has already begun on a sequel and Jamie Lee said she would do it if David Gordon Green is directing.

The new movie is projected for a $33 million second weekend. Amazing. Just amazing. If this keeps up, it could possibly become the highest grossing entry. Well, it already is, but the original is higher when you adjust for inflation.

and no doubt it'll do well on home video (which usually brings in an addition 10-20 million)

The movie did $32 million bringing it's total to $126.6 million. $172.2 million worldwide.

Projections say 200 million will be reached. 250 is a stretch, which would be amazing!

I think they meant $250 worldwide. Either way, if it keeps up it could beat the original's adjusted gross of $182 million domestic.
