The Greatest American Hero ran for 3 seasons, from early 1981 to 1983, and consisted of 44 episodes. The last few never airing. It starred William Katt as a high school teacher who receives a special suit from aliens in order to help change and protect the world. He was accompanied in his efforts by Bill(Robert Culp), an FBI agent. The show was produced by Stephen J. Cannell, who also brought the hit shows "Hunter", "21 Jump Street", and "The A-Team" to the little screen.

Robert Culp, who played Bill Maxwell on this show, as well as on "I Spy" with Bill Cosby, died yesterday. He fell while walking near his home and hit his head. He was 79. More recently, he was Patricia Heaton's father in several episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond".

There's going to be an all day marathon of this on the SyFy channel on the 4th of July.

Gonna be watching the marathon for this on the SyFy channel tomorrow. Anybody who hasn't seen it and is interested should check it out. :)
