| The Gimme A Break(1981 - 1987) Appreciation Thread! Another 80's sitcom I loved.  Gimme A Break starred Nell Carter as Nell Harper, a live in housekeeper to Chief Carl Kanisky(Dolph Sweet), a widower, and his three daughters, Katie, Julie, and Samantha(Sam). | It was something like the real early 90's since it aired here. It went off the air and was never seen again here. I loved this one growing up. So glad it finally came to DVD. It was like walking down memory lane. I wished they would release the other seasons. | |||

| Oh, but it was so popular back in the day. Yeah, I watched 47 of the 65 shows listed on this board  , so this bump was pretty random. Wish I remembered more on an episodic basis. Seems like there were so many shows ("Mr. Belvedere", anyone?) with the live-in housekeeper as the main character.__________________ "It is a theme party at Steve's fraternity." | |||

| Another show that went one season on DVD and then nothing. I loved this show. I need more seasons.
