Funny Farm Thread #1

Funny Farm Thread

Chase plays a New York sports writer who moves with his wife to the seemingly charming town of Redbud, Vermont, so he can write a novel. They do not get along well with the residents, and marital troubles arise. They soon decide to split, and pay the town's residents to appear normal and friendly in the presence of prospective home buyers visiting the area. Ultimately, they decide to stay together and stay in Redbud, much to the chagrin of the locals.

I loved this movie! I would love to live in a town like Redbud. lol I felt sorry for him when he just wanted to write. Then his wife started selling books. Oh well, it all worked out in the end.

Haha!

The mailman was funny. Then he cleaned up when they were going to be rewarded with the fifty dollars.

I like small towns, too. They can be fun.

Yes, indeed. I don't live in a small town, but I've been to them.

Loved the pay phone at their house. lol

I've been to several. Some are very cute and quaint and lovely, and some were....odd. Like everyone is watching as you walk by. Lol.

That phone. I couldn't image that in our house, especially with 4 sisters growing up. Lol.

Haha! Yeah, my aunt lived in a town like that. Everyone was in your business.

Yeah, that would be annoying. My brother was always on the phone, so that wouldn't have worked either. Ha!

Did you like the Sheriff who couldn't pass his driving test?! Hee

Some residents look at you like "You don't live here. What are you doing here city fella?!". Lol.

The sheriff who couldn't drive was hilarious. I love movies or TV shows set in small towns who have quirky characters like that. "Yes, the sheriff is on his way, as soon as he finds someone with a valid driver's licence who can take him."

I'm not really either. I live in the county of a city, but it would be a city to them!. Lol.

Oh yeah!. The siren on the taxi. Lol. I forgot about that.

It's a surprise that they weren't. Small-town people are sometimes nosy.
