It's not the same without Lou Gramm.

It isn't, but the one thing I've learned from liking as many bands as I have is that not all bands will have the same line ups. The music will always be there as a reminder of how a band member shaped the band. I mean, when Bon Scott died, most thought AC/DC should hang it up, but they proved that they can still be a viable band with Brian Johnson and they've been rockin strong for a very long time.

A band who progresses is a band that has my support. I'm one who likes to see how a band progresses thru the years. Growth in music can be hard, but it's all about the love of music.

I hope Lou is doing well with whatever venture he is doing at this time. I do hope he comes back to do music soon. His voice was distinctive. I have his solo record "Ready Or Not" and it was fun to listen to.

Good point on AC/DC going on to compare.

It is a good point, but not every band gets a Brian Johnson as a replacement. Lol.

True, but with each band, whoever they replace, some people will like them, some won't...
It's a matter of taste.

Another example. Journey. Some like Steve Perry's replacement (I dont' know who it is at the moment) and some don't.

3rd example is INXS. I don't know if they did find a replacement when Michael Hutchence passed away, but if they did, it's the same things. Some like, some don't.

A final example. Van Halen. In the end, they ended up with David Lee Roth again (unless something happened that I wasn't aware of). It made me mad how they treated Gary Cherone, but I'm glad Gary is back with Extreme.

I posted a video in the Journey thread on here. I'm a big time Journey fan and find him a very equal replacement for Perry.
