I had no idea Jeff Pilson was part of this. I've been a "quiet" fan of Dokken (like I said, so many bands, I would have to write a novel about all the bands and artists I loved in the 1980's). I've loved Dokken since 1983 and Jeff was the first bass player that got me to pay attention to bass playing. He was incredible in Dokken. Now, I have to see Foreigner not only to see Jeff play, but to hear Kelly sing.
Oddly enough, I was looking thru my "collection" of music as it were, and went online to see if there were any releases I didn't have. Low and behold, I came across what was "according to what I read" Dokken's last release, called "Broken Bones". Now I know that Don's voice has changed over the years, but when I heard the samples of the songs, he still sounded as wonderful as he did 30 years ago.
I'll have to check to see if Foreigner will be my way anytime soon. If things work out, then I will invest in going to see them. Sure, Kelly Hansen isn't Lou Gramm, but for me, both singers are incredible and as long as Foreigner is out there, no matter who is in it, it's enough for me to check them out.
