Footloose Appreciation Thread

the story;
Footloose (1984): Classic tale of teen rebellion and repression features a delightful combination of dance choreography and realistic and touching performances. When teenager Ren and his family move from big-city Chicago to a small town in the West, he’s in for a real case of culture shock. Though he tries hard to fit in, the streetwise Ren can’t quite believe he’s living in a place where rock music and dancing are illegal. There is one small pleasure, however: Ariel, a troubled but lovely blonde with a jealous boyfriend and a Bible-thumping minister, who is responsible for keeping the town dance-free. Ren and his classmates want to do away with this ordinance, especially since the senior prom is around the corner, but only Ren has the courage to initiate a battle to abolish the outmoded ban and revitalize the spirit of the repressed townspeople. Fast-paced drama is filled with such now-famous hit songs as the title track and “Let’s Hear It for the Boy.”

"Footloose" had some big mentions on "Modern Family" last night. Phil was trying to get his son to go to a dance class, because he did. He tried to convince the kid about the girls he'd get.

Phil: "Like Kevin Bacon in 'Footloose'"
Luke: "More like 'Footlooser'"

Anyways, the kid took the class and came out and got in the car complaining. Phil said that he used to always do anything.

Luke: "I'm older now and I want to make my own decisions, like the rebel preacher's daughter in your precious movie!"
Phil: "Using my own movie against me? (Starts clapping) Well, let's hear it for the boy".

ETA: Okay, now I'm not crazy about the colors.

Going to have to search for some color codes. Also, if you have any ideas for 80s inspired titles (i.e. something to replace the story, memorable scenes, etc) let me know. I looked at some other threads to get ideas on how to set up the OP since I'm not the best at that...so if you don't like it, just tell me and I'll see what else I can do.
