An Iowa farmer hears a voice in his cornfield accompanied by a vision of a baseball field. He takes it as a sign to build a baseball diamond which would ennable Shoeless Joe Jackson of the infamous Chicago "Black" Sox to play ball again.

I've always loved the poster for this movie too.

The blues are very calming and uplifting.

So, theory on this movie: Maybe Kevin is dead the whole movie. I assume that James Earl Jones died and went to heaven at the end but it's like...just disappearing like that and the way EVERYONE shows up at the end to come to the field...I think it's all a "dream" from a dead person. Anyone agree?

Not really. I don't usually have theories when i watch movies.

I don't while I watch, but after I form them. It's the writer in me.

This movie was cool even though I don't like baseball.

The movie was about believing, not baseball.

That's why I like it.

I don't think there's a bad character in the movie.
