Hmm. I don't remember the bathroom scene at all. I think I always saw it on HBO and then the DVD. I don't think I ever saw the network TV version. If I did, I don't remember.

I think I first saw it on TV. I read that Amy hated those made-for-TV scenes.

I've heard a few directors say the same thing. Some are made specifically for TV scenes and some are just deleted scenes put back in to pad the time slot. A lot of directors say those scenes were cut for a reason.
