I always thought it was strange how characters, over the years, either disappeared completely or started making only frequent appearances. We all know about poor Judy being completely written out of the show, but there was Rachel too. I know Telma Hopkins got her own show (Getting By) during season three of FM, but it only lasted a year. She was never back on FM completely and made pop up appearances like she was always there. Did they ever say where she always was? It was weird because her son, Richie, was always there without his mom. Waldo also was gone from the show and I don't think they mentioned that. Grandma was gone a lot as the show got older and then pop up.
