Look at all the girls introduced. I wonder what made the producers/staff select one girl over another girl as "the final cast". For example, Mindy over Molly. I do have to say, that if Molly stayed with the cast, I don't think she could become an 80s legend like she did if she stayed w/ Facts of Life.

Interesting point. I can't imagine the show without Mindy. She is great! I love Molly, but I didn't like her character on this show. She was one of the least interesting.

Dang! The "Over Our Heads" pic is down. Gonna have to fix that.

If I remember correctly, the show was really taken with Mindy. She was just a natural. Molly was just kind of....there. Lol. Some of the original girls who were cut still made some guest appearances later. I guess they needed to show that they weren't completely axed from Eastland either! Lol.

Molly was just boring. Maybe if they did something with her character, I would have liked her more.

Yes, that's true. Plus, they didn't make them likable. I found myself very disinterested in season 1.
