Me too. So is everyone gonna watch the sequel Havana Nights? Patrick has a little role in it.

I probably won't watch it in theatres, but it is likely I'll rent it once it's out on DVD, just for the fun of it. Will you see it?

I think I'll def see it, just because I loved the original so much. Might see it in theatres. But if they were gonna do a sequel they should have had Jennifer and Patrick in it as lead roles, not completely different cast and story.

Yeah, I think they could've called it simply "Havanna Nights" and not included Dirty Dancing at all in the title. But then again, I'm sure they're doing it for PR reasons. It'll be fun comparing it with the original.

I agree. I will def compare it to the original, but I hope that doesn't cloud my mind when it comes to reviewing how good it was. You know when you think it doesn't live up to the original therefore its crap...I wanna have an open mind. I'm looking foward to seeing Patrick in his little cameo role.

I agree. Actually, not having high expectations is often the best way of enjoying any movie. Sequel/prequel or not. At least for me.

Jennifer has kinda disapeered since DD. She's done some acting but nothing big. Patrick hasn't done a massive amount but it was nice to see him in Donnie Darko a few years ago.

I don't think I've seen any of Jennifer's movies after DD. Not that I can recall without looking them up anyhow. I did watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off again not too long ago though, which she did prior to DD.

Out of the stuff I've seen with Patrick, it's been both good and bad.

Its a nice dress. The dirty dancing bit on the poster just looks wrong. Can you imagine if they used the same font as the original and then havana nights? that would look dreadful.

You're right, it would look so much better without the 'dirty dancing' part. And it would look plain awful if it had the original dd logo.

Nothing can beat the original poster, soundtrack or the movie. Do you think the original cast think the sequel is a bad idea?
