It might be totally unrelated at the end of the line... But maybe it will be a sequel to Johnny and Baby's story. Maybe with their daughter or son,... depends on when in the 90's it's located. Dirty Dancing was set in 1963.

Jennifer Grey is starring in a new dancing movie, and there are ruumblings it could be related to Dirty Dancing

Me either. I am curious because the last attempt to ride the phenomenon that was Dirty Dancing wasn't that interesting. But if it indeed a related, and dealing with the Baby and Johnny's story. It might work out...

But Dirty Dancing was special in its own right, and hard to capture that again. It wasn't supposed to be a hit. But it exploded. Because of Patrick, and Jennifer...

So, we shall see.

It was an unexpected surprise hit. I don't know how they'd do especially since Patrick won't be around.

It's definitely would be odd. I have guesses of a potential story. They deal with Johnny and Baby's child who is working for a summer at a Kellerman's like resort. And meets someone who doesn't know dancing. They fall in love. His/her father has died. Her mother has been raising him or her and might disapprove or is the mentor...

Yeah, it was such a stunning surprise. Something no one expected because of Patrick, and Jennifer. I don't know how you can top it.

Then I didn't think Top Gun could do a sequel so many years after. While the jury is out whether that works, the promo's look interesting.

So, we'll see.
