One of the best programs from the 80s and probably my favorite couple from the 80s decade (Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert - DWAAAAYYYNE LOL).
Love Jasmine Guy as an actress and a singer too.
Even Jada Pinkett-Smith came as Lena in the later seasons but in my opinion she made little impact to the show.
Kadeem Hardison (as Dwayne Wayne) and Daryl M Bell (as Ron) were hilarious and loved Jaleesa played by Dawn Lewis.
The show was originally The Cosby Show spin-off with Denise Huxtable enrolling in Hillman College but she only lasted one season - wasn't a fan of Denise.

I loved Denise on the Cosby show, but she didn't have the talent to carry her own show. I'm glad they retooled the show and got rid of the wasted characters.

I was never really keen on Denise even in Cosby Show, I thought Theo and Vanessa were much better. I think after the first season, Different World got a lot better but for me Jasmine Guy completely stole this show - she is so talented and if you have ever heard her album in the early 90s it was absolutely fantastic

The album is self-titled and came out in 1990 - it composes a mix of slushy R+B ballads and some New Jack Swing.
I'll say Cliff, Theo and Vanessa were my favorites from The Cosby Show
