"COPS" is a reality show that follows police officers, sheriff's deputies, federal agents and state troopers in all areas of the country as they do their duty. The show premiered on FOX on March 11, 1989.

On May 11, 2011 "COPS" became the longest running television show on FOX and one of the longest running ever. After 25 years, FOX canceled the show in 2013 and it was picked up by Spike TV.

I know, right? I love the song. They have filmed here numerous times. I always hope they filmed something good! Lol.

A former brother in law was a cop here in town and we always thought we would see him on the show when they filmed here. Never did.

that's too bad because that would be something fun to watch!

The cameraman is always put in a bulletproof vest during filming. I would be nervous working on this show!

One of the episodes that was filmed here had a guy being tased in the parking lot of a restaurant we like to frequent. In the segment, we learned the guy was named Mike. So, every time we got there now we always say "I wonder how Mike is?" Lol.

Christmas episodes dealing with prostitution are always titled "Ho! Ho! Ho! Edition". Lol.
