It did not, no. He doesn't mention much of that point of his career other than "Splash" or "Big" unless someone brings it up.

tom very rarely talks about hsi movie career to begin with because he's a humble guy. but he's a dramatic actor now. he doesn't mention his 80s comedies or Bosom Buddies. i'd like to see him write a book detailing his whole career.

I'd read it too. I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of regarding his comedies bc they were awesome too but I get it he wouldn't want to bring it up

Not sure about that.

I was watching a documentary yesterday with director Joe Dante. He said this movie got the worst reviews of any of his movies but people still tell him how much they love it.
