The Brat Pack

You know who they are. They were some of the most famous actors in the mid 80's. From 1984 to 1986, they filled up all kinds of Hollywood gossip pages as well as posters on walls. Emilio Estevez was the unofficial leader. He was the big known movie star in 1985. Rob Lowe and Judd Nelson were up and coming actors who always went cruising for blondes. Ally Sheedy and Demi Moore hung out with these guys and party hard. Their careers have all suffered because of their moniker, but their movies rock.

And they did so many good movies, several with more than one brat packer in it too.

My favorite Brat pack film would be St. Elmo's Fire. It is so 1980's. I saw the special on The brat Pack on VH1. According to that, they were really big in 1985. They were getting paid half-a million dollars to star in films.

I think my fave movie would be The Breakfast Club. I guess I identified with it more since it was set in high school as opposed to post-college. Total 80's identity movie.

Probably mine too. Mainly because it's very, very high up on my all time favourite list of all movies.

Oh, I remember that too.

It feels kind of odd knowing that Emilio and Demi were much younger than I am now when they made the brat pack movies and were an item.

Where does time fly? And probably not so odd after all, I guess it's just me being in denial land about getting older.

I loved all the the movies yet 'The Breakfast Club' and 'St Elmos fire' were my fave as Rob Lowe was so fine and I loved Judd in TBC. Great movies and I love the whole Brat pack thing.

I'm a big fan of the brat pack as well. My favorite is also St. Elmo's Fire. That movie sooo rocks. They all do actually.

I too remember when they were much older than me. There's a scene where Jules says something about this isn't how she imagined her life would be at 22. I was like 22?!! I'm 27 now, that made me feel really old.
