The 80s - This Board Will Be Monitored Extra Closely - Post Counts Added May 29

No, I'm not exaggerating.

A new system for activity checks will be implemented in early March. This board is one of the boards TPTB aka the Management Team/Administrators will keep an extra eye on since an unofficial post count some time ago showed that the board some weeks didn't meet the required amount of traffic here at Fan Forum.

The unofficial count for this board had this result:

Week 1: = 149
Week 2: = 96
Week 3: = 70

I have a feeling the numbers have upped a little since 'week three' mentioned above, but I thought you should know the numbers TPTB used.

To meet requirements for keeping the board, it will need 100 posts per week. The traffic on the boards will be monitored on a regular basis and any board that has less than 100 posts per week four times in a given three month period will be closed.

I for one love this board, and all you great people here. It's a nice place, with very nice people.

It's really up to all of us if we want to keep the board.

And once the official post counting resumes, I will make sure to post the numbers on this thread so you all have a chance to follow the development.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them. I'll answer as best I can, and what I don't know I'll make sure I'll find out for you.

Plus, any suggestions you might have for the board are also welcome!

March 13 to March 20: 823 posts
March 20 to March 27: 767 posts
March 27 - April 3: 809 posts
April 3 - April 10: 1,018 posts
April 10 - April 17: 520 posts
April 17 - April 24: 708 posts
April 24 - May 1: 567 posts
May 1 - May 8: 686 posts
May 8 - May 15: 792 posts
May 15 - May 22: 414 posts
May 22 - May 29: 373 posts

It's a pity. I bet there's a lot of people who want this board to stay open, but they don't do anything about it.

I don't want the 80's board to close. I know how it is. My board (Judging Amy) is also going to be monitored. I don't want either board to close. I'll try to remember to come over here more often.
