Carly Simon's brother Peter, 71, is a well-known photographer on that rich-folk enclave known as Martha's Vineyard, and actor Bill Murray, 67, is a popular local resident who co-owns the collegiate summer baseball team on the island.

The two elderly gents got into a dispute this week that started with both men literally demanding "Do you know who I AM?" to each other (lol) and ended with Murray soaking Simon and his camera equipment, and a police report being filed.

Apparently, Simon was taking pictures for his newspaper of a band that was performing at Lola's Restaurant. Murray happened to be eating there and thought Simon was taking photos of him. Murray is notoriously private, so he grabbed Simon, shoved him against a door and threatened to throw him out of the restaurant. After some chest puffing on both parts during which they established that neither cared who the other was, someone pulled them apart.

Simon then went back to taking photos, so Murray grabbed a glass of water and poured it over him and his camera equipment. Simon called the police, and Murray claimed that Simon was harassing him by taking photos.

The owner of Lola's sided with Murray, saying Simon had no business taking photos of customers in her restaurant. Simon's editors at The Martha's Vineyard Times have sided with him, saying he was on assignment to cover the band and didn't even know Murray was there (Simon says he didn't recognize Murray because "he doesn't look anything like he used to look").
